

The present article aims to show how in Plato’s Phaedo , from Nietzsche’s point of view, the insight on “soul” necessarily denies life, specifically the body. This writing is developed in four moments: the first shows what is understood by “soul” in Nietzsche’s work; the second gives a short presentation of the concept of soul in Plato’s Phaedo, the third explains what is Nietzsche`s idea of a denial of the body, and the fourth presents the thesis of the Plato’s’ conception of soul as denial of the body.
